Commuters from southern Cebu will now have the option to travel to Cebu city by sea. This will help them alleviate their stress and avoid delays from the volume of vehicles on the road that caused heavy traffic.

MCE Shipping Lines offers an alternative mode of transport to commuters who want to reach far destinations without having to spend hours on the road.

In February, MCE launched its 64-seater catamaran-type boats and 15-seater sea jeepney. The sea jeepneys are for the shorter trips and for towns who have a small port.

MCE CEO Dr. Nelson Mejia Jr. said that MyBoat, a 45-seater sea jeepney will start to sail from the port in Naga City to Cebu City’s Pier 1 next Monday, October 28. The sea trip will run from between 45 minutes to an hour.
